Meet Matt Lawenda

Wholesale Isn’t Just What I Do. It’s What I Grew Up In.

I grew up in the retail and wholesale industry. My mom owned and operated eight retail stores over a 35+ year career, while my dad spent more than 35 years in wholesale fashion accessories.

From an early age, I was exposed to both sides of the business—learning what retailers look for and what brands need to do to earn their business.

That experience became my own career. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked hands-on in nearly every part of growing wholesale consumer brands, from Faire, e-commerce, merchandising, marketing, and retailer acquisition to trade shows, sales teams, operations, and technology.

Along the way, I’ve personally generated $4M+ in Faire sales, managed 100+ sales reps, worked extensively with wholesale showrooms and trade shows, and helped build brands that sell to thousands of independent retailers.

Today, I bring that experience to every brand we work with at Faire Growth Agency.

Why I Started Faire Growth Agency

After years of managing our own brands on Faire, I began noticing the same thing again and again: great brands were leaving significant opportunities on the table.

I would find incredible products inside Faire shops with weak SEO, underdeveloped listings, missed promotional opportunities, poor merchandising, and storefronts that simply weren’t being actively managed.

Most of these founders didn’t need another marketing agency. They needed someone who understood both Faire and the wholesale business behind it—someone who could identify what was holding them back, explain what mattered, and create a clear strategy to move forward.
